I'll make this nutella-ish spread every so often, and store the leftovers in the freezer. It's sweet without being loaded with added sugars, and goes great on toasted 100% Whole Wheat Bread or on nut butter recipes!

Ingredients

- 2 tbsp Natural peanut butter
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp Liquid monk fruit
- 1 scoop Whey protein powder, unflavored
- 6 tbsp Unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 tsp Almond extract
- Small pinch Salt
Instructions

- Mix all ingredients in a small container, and store the leftovers in the fridge.
Notes
- In place of liquid monk fruit or stevia, you can use 1/2 tbsp (10 g) honey, maple syrup, or sugar free syrup
- Optionally, you can turn this spread into some chocolate protein bites. Mix in unflavored casein (1 scoop, 30 g) and oat flour (2 tbsp, 15 g), and shape into balls. Makes about 10-12
