Here's a very simple homemade pasta sauce, starting from a humble can of crushed tomatoes. This yields enough sauce to flavor a pound of pasta or a whole spaghetti squash, maybe with some added meat and vegetables. It couldn't be easier, just saute an onion, and dump in the tomatoes and any desired spices. From there, just simmer as long as you like. I also use this to top pizzas as well!   • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 tbsp Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
Tomatoes & Spices
  • 28oz can Crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Oregano, dried
  • 1 tbsp Basil, dried
  • 1 tbsp Parsley, dried
  • 1/2 tbsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper, ground
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes
